it may be chilly outside, but inside the museum it's nice and warm! 

 now's a great time to walk through the city's original firehouse, learn about the history of firefighting and see historical fire apparatus.

 < just arrived: a beautifully restored ladder wagon. see it now in the old firehouse section of the museum.

we are located in the historic district of ypsilanti - just up the street from depot town with shops, restaurants, the automotive heritage museum and near the historical society.

the museum comprises an original1898 firehouse plus a new 12,000 square foot exhibit area with 20 historical fire rigs with lots of other firefighting equipment & memorabilia.
